Tricky Trend: Tall Gladiator Sandals

Feeling especially bold? Then go tall or go home! Over the years we’ve seen gladiator sandals creep higher and higher up the leg, initially at the ankle, then onto the mid-calf, soon after that knee-high and finally thigh-high status.

This trend is not for everyone – I know, however if you’re that girl (i.e. a fashion maverick) go for styles in neutral shades, like black, brown, gold and other neutral tones. This will ensure you look more high-fashion than fashion-victim, additionally, you’ll get the most use out of this trendy purchase… as we know neutrals can be paired with virtually anything.

If you’re not much of a fashion risk taker, one way you could ease into this trend is by selecting a pair that comes up to the ankle. They team perfectly with rolled-up jeans and tank top, or a fabulous flowing maxi dress. It’ll add a bit of chic to your summer basics and they’re certainly more stylish than a pair of flip-flops, yeah?
