A “Nude” Attitude

15 Jul

It’s a staple in women’s footwear. It goes with just about any outfit. Magazine editors implore every woman to invest in a pair. Yes, I’m talking about the nude pump. When it comes to the “nude” pump they’re always praised for their leg-lengthening capabilities, how they seemingly fade/blend into the skin, visually extending the line of the leg – and ultimately adding height to one’s frame. But does one size shade fits all…? Nope! And Christian Louboutin seems to agree.

The Nude Collection

This is genius, and I can’t believe that a collection such as this hasn’t debuted sooner. Typically nude (or flesh-toned) pumps are in shades of beige, pale peach or tan tones, catering mostly to Caucasian women and would blend seamlessly against their skin, now those same pair of heels would contrast against a woman of color. This is why Christian Louboutin has created The Nudes Collection. A series of pumps available in 5 styles and in 5 shades (ranging from fair to deep chestnut).

The Nudes Collection

This collection was released in the fall of 2013, awhile ago I know, but I only saw an interview where he discussed the collection and how the idea came about a couple of hours ago…check it out below.

Right! Louboutin is a genius…he basically redefined “nude” so its more reflective of the multi-racial globalized world we live in…

Ahh I love nude pumps! You should see my summer wardrobe-I have at least 5 pairs of pointy nude pumps (patent and matte). Huge fan of CB’s idea!! Would love to own a pair of Christian Louboutins-might have to save up for them:)

Nude pumps are so necessary, (I like the patent finish). And I too would love to own a pair, guess we’ll both be saving up =)
